About the Position
Widemile is looking for top Java developers to become part of the team creating an innovative web–based application that is fundamentally changing the way online content and advertising is designed. You will work under the direction of the Chief Architect in close cooperation with the CTO, marketing and customers to develop leading-edge software solutions in an environment where everyone’s contribution is essential to success. This is a unique opportunity to develop enterprise–class Java servers using leading-edge technologies such as Optimized ORM, Distributed Caching, AOP, Web Services and a highly–acclaimed Flex 3 User Interface. Responsibilities
- Using your skills to help the development team deliver quality releases
- Meeting with customer–facing organizations to understand product requirements
- Designing, developing, testing and maintaining object–oriented software systems
- Writing production quality code in Java and J2EE to tight deadlines
- Maintaining top quality, performance and reliability standards
- Researching and recommending new tools and technologies
Required Skills:
- BS CS/EE degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3–7 years experience in demanding, fast-paced development environments
- Core Java development experience required, J2EE experience is strongly desired
- HTTP, HTML, XML, Web Services, servlets, JSP’s and custom tags
- High–throughput, high–availability server–side Web applications
- Fault–tolerant, distributed multi–tier system architectures
- User interface design and development skills will be very helpful
- Database development and integration experience strongly desired
- Must be an organized self-starter with a strong “get it done” attitude
- Ability to adapt quickly and respond effectively in high-pressure, multi–tasking situations
